This policy explains what theforexbonus.com does with personal data. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Data we hold
- Contact form submissions — the name, email address and message you send. Stored in the site database and in our email inbox so we can reply and keep a record of the correspondence.
- Comments — the name, email, optional website, comment text, IP address and browser user-agent, used to publish the comment and to filter spam.
- Security logs — failed login attempts, IP addresses and request metadata recorded by our security and login-protection plugins.
- Technical logs — standard web-server records (IP, timestamp, URL, user-agent) kept briefly by our host for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Aggregate analytics — non-identifying statistics about which pages are read, where analytics is enabled.
We do not ask for, and do not want, financial account numbers, trading credentials, API keys or identity documents. Please never send them to us.
Cookies and similar technology
Essential cookies keep the site functioning and remember your comment details. Caching cookies help serve pages faster. If you click through to a broker, exchange or prop firm via an affiliate link, that provider may set a tracking cookie so the referral can be attributed — those cookies are controlled by them under their own privacy policy, not by us. Your browser settings can block or clear any of it.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: your consent (comments and messages you choose to send), and our legitimate interests in running a secure, functioning website and answering the people who contact us.
Sharing
Personal data is never sold, rented or traded. It is processed on our behalf only by the providers that make the site work — our hosting company, our email provider, and the security, anti-spam and forms plugins installed on the site — and only for those purposes.
Retention
- Contact form entries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Comments and their metadata: kept while the article is published, so follow-up comments can be recognised.
- Security and server logs: a short rolling window, normally 30 days or less.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. Requests are handled within the statutory period; use the contact page.
International transfers and security
Our servers and service providers may sit outside your country; where data crosses borders we rely on providers offering appropriate safeguards. The site is served over HTTPS and access to the database is restricted, but no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe we have, contact us and it will be deleted.
Changes
This policy is reviewed periodically and the date at the top shows the current version.
